Bananas are one of the most nutritional and healing fruits available today. They are low in calories, providing about 90 calories for a 6-inch banana, high in fiber and offer several vitamins and minerals.

Bananas increase energy levels and are good for lowering blood pressure and eliminating osteoporosis, coronary artery disease, stroke, colon and lung cancers.

If you are bored with plain bananas, find other ways to incorporate them into your diet. We suggest you to blend them with peanuts and make a delicious smoothie.

Follow the recipe below:

Ingredients
1 banana, peeled
¾ c. milk (your choice: cows milk, soy or almond)
¾ c. plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp. crunchy peanut butter
1 tbsp. honey (optional)

Instructions
In a blender, add all the ingredients. Blend to a smooth, creamy texture. (Add a handful of ice if you would like an extra cold, frosty smoothie.)
Pour and enjoy!
